Save the Date for the 2025 Celebrating Home & Community Gala

Join us on October 30, 2025 to celebrate Breaking Ground's 35 years of service to New York City and to honor two distinguished individuals who have devoted their careers to the creation of affordable housing and economic opportunity for people from all walks of life.

Each year, the Celebrating Home & Community Gala raises vital funding to strengthen Breaking Ground's outreach and housing programs serving New Yorkers who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

This is a critical time for New York, confronting serious challenges at the intersection of mental health, affordable housing, and homelessness. People experiencing homelessness on the City's streets face extreme obstacles to overcoming a terrible condition, foremost among them the lack of a dignified and secure place to call home. Breaking Ground’s interventions help homeless New Yorkers attain that essential dignity and security for themselves and for our entire society.
