We are excited to share that Breaking Ground is an official charity partner for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon! We are proud to partner with New York Road Runners, participate in this iconic event, and pound the pavement to raise funds in support of our outreach and housing programs in New York City.
At Breaking Ground, we believe everyone deserves a home. Our continuum of outreach and housing programs serve more than 11,000 vulnerable New Yorkers each year, and more than 5,000 children, women, and men sleep under a Breaking Ground roof every night.
Team Breaking Ground has six (6) official charity entry runners in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon, all of whom will be selected from a small group of supporters who are close to the organization. Please note that we will not be able to offer any of our charity entries to runners who are not already connected to Breaking Ground through our various volunteer and supporter programs.
Team Breaking Ground runners commit to raising funds in support of our work to help people come off the streets and secure long-term stability in housing. We will announce our team of runners, with short profiles for each, later this spring.
