Scatter Site Office Refresh Project
YPC members and volunteers proposed a new look for Breaking Ground’s Scatter Site office in the Bronx where many clients receive case management and worked to renovate the space. Breaking Ground staff and clients are now enjoying their upgraded facilities!
Hegeman Community Garden
YPC raised over $20,000 to help build and operate a new community garden in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The goal of the garden is to address a lack of access to and information about fresh, healthy foods in a low-income, severely under-resourced neighborhood.
Members volunteered at multiple tenant events that encourage healing and growth, including as just one example the annual Thanksgiving celebration at The Lee residence.
The number of YPC members doubled from 2014 to 2015!
